About Drew Purcell
Hospitality industry manager by day (drop by and say hi sometime at the Sonesta ES Suites in Flagstaff), my primary passion is writing and creating. With an academic background in history, whenever appropriate (and often when it's not) I steer the conversation back to that subject. If your business, or the building it's in, or something tangentially related to it, has an interesting story hidden in its past, I will happily dig through crates of newspapers and old books, get to the bottom of it, then leverage the stories I find to bring positive attention to your organization that translates to increased money in your pocket. In addition to my Bachelor's Degree in History from Northern Arizona University, I’ve recently obtained a Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Certificate from Google and multiple Google Ads certifications.
While the standard business model for marketing firms is to ensure their services become so indispensable that clients have little choice but to continue paying them indefinitely, my approach is very different. I do hope to cultivate longterm relationships with the organizations I assist, but my main goal is always to put systems in place that are easy to sustain with or without outside help. Often, short-term services are sufficient to get a company on the right track in the world of Digital Marketing.
I've honed my marketing, advertising, and design skills on the job while working for Flagstaff-area institutions such as Theatrikos Theatre Company, Galaxy Diner, and the Weatherford Hotel. My experiences managing a variety of organizations, which is still the primary source of my income, gives me unique insight about the bigger picture involved in running a successful organization, avoiding the tunnel-vision that can come when one is only focused on marketing for marketing's sake.
